A Chapter Leader is a Solos member who supports Solos in running Community events at Solos in their local city. Chapter Leaders are selected on a volunteer basis, and we currently assign 2 Chapter Leaders for every city in Indonesia.
The Chapter Leader role will last for 6 months before we elect a new leader again.
As a Chapter Leader, you support Solos in running our community events in your local city. We recommend that you run at least 1 event per month, but you are free to run more events if you are interested in building a stronger community in your city.
Hereβs a short list of things that you get to do as a Chapter Leader:
Build a strong network π
Learn how to build a network of people with the same interest as you. As a Chapter Leader, you will directly engage with various freelancers, entrepreneurs and people from the creative community. These are people that might be able to bring interesting projects and opportunities to you.
Get creative and build your own activities within your city π₯³
While you may opt to run regular Solos Community Events, as a Chapter Leader you can also propose new ideas for events and activities. If those ideas are accepted, Solos will be happy to support you and even provide some resources to get your ideas off the ground.
Practice project management and community development skills π
While running an event sounds fun, it is actually quite valuable as an experience and is an extremely useful skill. By running and organising community activities, you will gain more confidence in public speaking, people management, and project management.
Get some special perks and benefits from Solos π
We will be providing some exclusive benefits for Chapter Leaders at Solos. However, this should not be your focus of becoming a Chapter Leader!
